  • Confusion About Breaking Wudu With The Feeling Of Air Bubbles

Sometimes people feel air bubbles in the backside especially during movement in salah. I was told that when it is just a doubt and if it is just an air bubble feeling rather than a fart ( without smell or sound) then wudu is in contact. I have found out recently that the anal sphincter is not 100 % efficient usually and small amounts of gas exit people all the time ( ie not always in high volume or high velocity). Now I am concerned of whether it breaks wudu or not .

What is unnoticeable is also negligible and should be ignored. Mere Doubts should be ignored.

Wudu will not stay intact when the person is certain that they have passed wind, either with or without sound.

This certainty needs to come from the individual themselves. As long as one is making an honest decision, any mistakes made will hopefully be forgiven with the mercy of God.

What about barely noticeable… most people do notice something, like bubbling … it’s not the same as passing gas feeling but it’s different sort.

If it’s not the same as passing gas then it should be ignored.
