Praying Namaz On Bed While Sitting
Question:Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,If I live in a very small room in college hostel and there is no space to pray on the floor. The only available option is to pray on my single bed. However, the bed is not in the direction of the Qibla, and the only feasible way for me is to sit and pray on the bed while trying my best to turn slightly toward the Qibla. I won’t be able to do proper ruku and sajdah..slight bend for ruku and sajdah.
In this situation, is it valid to pray fardh namaz while sitting on the bed?No masjid are nearby.

You can find some open space outside your room to perform your prayer.

In my college I asked an administrator before to pray outside my room in campus..he denied..I even told him to escalate the issue…my question is if he doesn’t allow me to pray outside my room and says you can pray inside the room only….I live in india and I am the only muslim student in my college best of my knowledge…so in my situation can I pray inside my room by sitting on bed due to limited space..and as I am unable to do proper sajdah while sitting..so slight bend for ruku and sajdah be fine?

@Irfan76 sir please answer this question specifically…as I am going to go to hostel and if thier is a room where their is limited space..so can I pray like the sitting on bed with slight bend for ruku and sajdah…sir in my college I asked earlier they said I can only pray in my room…sir please tell can I pray in my room if this happens.

When no other option is available then you can pray in the limited space in the best practical manner.

So I can pray sitting on bed( like we sit on chair)with slight bend for ruku and sajdah while trying best to face towards qibla…this is fine?
