Assalamu Alaikum, I made an oath to Allah that I would never cheat. While in class, my teacher wanted us to do our own individual work but someone kept copying off of me, I tried to move multiple times and hide my copy but they kept copying. They asked me to place my copy so they could see too so I did but I did that because I had an intention of moving to the front or planning on how to stop this.i didn’t tell them to stop because I didn’t want to be rude. Now I don’t know whether this is breaking an oath, also now that I think of it my teacher wouldn’t mind I’m pretty sure. What should i do? Is an expiation required for this? JazakAllahu Khairan (sorry for the long question)

You need not take an oath to avoid something immoral. It is a continuous struggle to avoid bad things; therefore, God has promised us that if we stay away from major sins, He will forgive our minor sins. Taking oaths to avoid such minor things makes things unnecessarily difficult.

You may keep three fasts to atone for the breaking of the fast.

Allah will not hold you accountable for your inadvertent oaths, but He will definitely hold you accountable for oaths you swear with solemn intention. So if such an oath is broken, its atonement is the feeding of ten needy persons of a standard with which you normally feed your own families or the clothing of ten needy people or the liberation of one slave. But whosoever cannot afford these should fast for three days. This is the atonement for the oaths when you have sworn. And be true to that which you have sworn. Thus Allah explains to you His verses that you may be grateful. (5:89)

Also, if I broke an oath without knowing the consequences of it, do I still need to do this? I was young and did not have much knowledge of deen. Also, for every oath I broke down I have to fast 3 days consecutively or can I make an intention of fasting 3 days consecutively for every oath I’ve broken. Is the consecutive part important?

And is there any way I can remove this oath or is this oath now a permanent oath and I can not break it?
