Assalamu Alaikum, Abu dawood 4106 talks about how Hazrat Fatima tried to cover her head around a slave given to her but then it wouldn’t cover her feet and when she tried to cover her feet it wouldn’t cover her head. Doesnt this mean hijab is obligatory since she tried to cover her head? And wouldn’t it also mean covering from head to toe is also obligatory since she tried to cover her feet? JazakAllahu Khairan

This was her personal feelings of her. The prophet didn’t mean it that is way he eased her by saying that only he ans her slave were there.
