Imtihan Or Allah
If a person’s entire family dies in an earthquake, then for that person, it’s a test.
What kind of test?
To pass, I think the person has to be patient and not object to Allah or go against Him. Only then will they succeed.
But does Allah really become pleased by putting His servant in pain and then expecting them to say nothing in return? What kind of love is that?
“I’ll burn your drown your family in a tsunami and if you stayed quiet you will get heaven”…. isn’t it toxic?

God’s wants us to learn that this short life is not everything. An eternal life is awaiting us. He wants His people to earn the blessings of the eternal life and go through a test.
When the people will enter jannah and meet their loved ones there they will feel that the suffering in the world was tiny as compared to the eternal blessings of jannah.
