Request For A Comprehensive Answer On Women’s Dress And Zeenat, and Document
Dear Administrators of Ask Ghamidi,
Assalamu Alaikum,I would like to kindly request a favor which I know may be challenging but will be very beneficial for the entire community.
I am starting a discussion in which I will ask several related questions on the topic of women’s dress and zeenat (adornment). I humbly request that you provide one comprehensive answer in this discussion, covering each question if possible. If appropriate, I would also appreciate it if you could mention both Ghamidi Sahab’s view as well as the views of his respected students when they differ. If you feel it is more convenient, I am also willing to compile these questions and answers into a single document, so that in the future, if someone asks a similar question, you can simply share that document.
The main focus of my questions will be on women’s clothing, zeenat, and adornment. Specifically:● Please list all Qur’anic verses that describe how a woman should dress.● What exactly is zeenat?● The permissibility of makeup (light and heavy). Does it fall under zeenat? Also, what is its connection with wudu?● Hair ornaments – do they need to be covered or not?● Jewelry on the chest – everyday use vs. special occasions. Must it be covered or not?● Jewelry on the arms, neck, nose, face, head – should all of these be covered?● Pakistani dresses that have a cut at the chest area, or embroidery/designs around the chest – what is the ruling on them?● Women’s dresses usually show the outline of the chest (even though this is not intended to be sexual but simply a natural outline) – what are the rules regarding this?● How do certain rules change depending on cultural differences? These are my main questions for now. More may come to mind later, and I will share them as they arise. In the meantime, I will work on creating a document that I can, with your permission, also share with all administrators for easier reference. Please provide your answer in English first, so that later we can also translate it into Urdu for wider benefit.JazakAllahu Khairan.I hope you will consider this positively as it can be very helpful for the community at large
Please i ask you this big favor
