Obedience To Muslim Rulers & Rebellion Against Them
Assalamu Alaikum
How far should this obedience go? Are we not even allowed to criticise them in public? Does this apply only in the situation in which all Muslims were under one ruler or even when there are different Muslim rulers ruling different communities? What if in a Muslim land the majority of the people hate their Muslim ruler, do these rules apply even then?

We can criticize an illegitimately established government, however we cannot take any measure which puts innocent lives in danger. There are very strict conditions when it comes to rebellion against an already established government.
