    Different sites and different fatwas making me confused me!

    Earlier when I didn’t know these life was easier. Making dua adhkar was easier.

    If someone says, recites ayatul kursi believing it protects from evil eye, satan is it shirk?

    One is not thinking it has independent power. But taking it as an attribute of ayatul kursi that it can protect from satan and that has allowed this ayat to have this power.

    It is kind of a belief like water makes us wet. So is this also a shirk?

    Then what should be the belief of one while having a medicine, or doing adhkar?

    It is not shirk.

    Ayat-al-kursi is word of God, so any protection which comes from it’s recitation, is ultimately from God.

    While taking any medicine or reciting any dhikr, our belief should be that ultimate shifa lies with God only, these are just means which provide shifa to us in accordance with the law of cause and effect instituted by God in this world. One is a material cause (i.e. medicine) the other is a spiritual or nafsi cause (i.e. dhikr).

    Their attribution is providing shifa as Allah has desgined them to be so. And thus usually they do this unless Allah wants otherwise ?

    I understand your confusion. The issue here is the concept of tawakkul (trust) and tawajjuh (direction). When reciting Ayatul Kursi or performing adhkar, your intention should be:

    1. Tawakkul in Allah: Trusting that Allah is the sole Protector and Guardian.

    2. Tawajjuh to Allah: Directing your intention and attention towards Allah alone.

    Regarding medicine, your intention should be:

    1. Using medicine as a means: Recognizing that medicine is a means to recovery, but the actual healing comes from Allah.

    Similarly, when performing adhkar, your intention should be:

    1. Seeking Allah’s protection and guidance: Understanding that the adhkar is a means to seek Allah’s protection and guidance, not a means in itself.

    Remember, the key is to maintain a correct intention and understanding, and to always direct your trust and attention towards Allah alone.
