We as humans make different types of mistakes every day, knowingly or unknowingly, and often regret later. I shouldve said this at that time or done this differently etc. Is it ok for a person to think that maybe if that didn’t happen is because Allah didn’t want that to happen? Or is it on the person to stress over it? I ask such questions because I am indecisive at times or nervous/confused whether to do something or not, and often regret later even if that thing wasn’t important. Can we leave ourselves to God and stop worrying about our decisions in life? Im a very confused and scared human being who cant live thinking that Allah isn’t with me or Allah isn’t controlling my decisions.

    As salamu alaekum,

This is perfectly normal and part of Humans nature. Humans are meant to do mistakes and learn from it and its integral part of Humans evolution so don’t stress over it.

As per my own experience the “what if” mindset or perfectionist approach could cause such situation when making a decision and later on if it does not work well the overthinking gets the best of me. My only go to solution in such situations is “Allah malik hai”, “Allah behtar karny wala hai” and move ahead.
