Laws That Are Not Enforced And Not Followed
@Irfan76 I’m big on following rules if I can but ever since coming back to Pakistan, I feel mentally and emotionally exhausted trying to follow laws that others would find ridiculous and have absolutely no enforcement. Example: I just spend hours researching laws regarding prescription medications as sometimes I verbally prescribe medications ( responsibly with education about their effects and side effects to people who need it but are physically far from me). I got confused about its legality and had to spend hours digging up law documents. I found that the law is mostly concerned with pharmacies (even that was absolutely outlandish and insane as almost none of it is followed or even enforced) so technically I’m in the clear? I don’t know,? The people I will prescribe to aren’t doing something illegal by buying them ( as far as I understand) and it makes like really easy for people who are sick and can’t afford to pay hospital fees or visit a doctor physically. Infact it’s a big reason I became a doctor, to be able to help people around me with knowledge that took years to gather. None of this would be an issue if laws were actually enforced as people wouldn’t demand these things of a doctor and I wouldnt be seen as silly for refusing to help someone because of a law that according to others is non existent. I also would feel guilty for making someone suffer on a technicality. This isn’t the only example, I have to research a lot of laws in this country because unlike other countries it’s super common for illegal things to be the norm. I’m so stressed because of this as it is time consuming and super hard.
