  • Responsibility To Wake People Up For Fajr

I wake up regularly for fajr, I tried waking others up for a while but then felt it was very stressful so asked everyone to do it themselves. First question: is it my responsibility to wake others up if I am sleeping in the same room ( like a husband ). Second question: if I do take someone’s responsibility but then oversleep by mistake myself and miss fajr ( then proceed to pray when I wake up), can I let the other person wake up naturally or should I wake them up as soon as I wake up to make up for their fajr prayer ( fajr time has ended so I might aswell let them sleep in?)

The first thing is education. Every Muslim should know the importance of prayer; only then can they wake up. It is your responsibility to ask them to say a prayer, but you can’t force them.

Oh good! Then I’ve done my bit. So it’s not my responsibility to wake them when fajr is missed in the second scenario right ?
