Hadith On Owais Qarni
We understand that we must only ask Allah without bringing a medium. However, a friend claimed there’s a Hadith where hazrat Umer (RA) was told to seek dua’ from hazrat Owais Qarni. It confuses me, why another person is needed to convey the request when Allah is closer and All Listening, and Loves more than 70 mothers?

The Ahadith mentioning the person of Owais Qarni are not authentic. There was no person of that name ever existed.
