Owning Gold Colored Things That Will Be Displayed In Public As Well
I recently bought a cover for my phone which is pretty old and so I it was difficult to find any cover but I found a golden colored one so I bought it, not that I wanted to buy it in that color.
Now, it is not original gold but just a gold color. What’s islamic point of view in this? Should I avoid using it and what if doing so causes a waste of money as it will be of no use to me if I buy a new cover.

It is a necessity for your phone. There’s no element of show off or arrogance here. Besides, everyone knows that this is just a color and not original gold. You can use this color.
