Assalamu Alaikum, is Sunan Abi Dawood 4106 a clear obligation of the hijab?Why did Hazrat Fatima try to cover her head and her feet in the presence of someone she thought was her non mahram? JazakAllahu Khairan.

One has to read all the turks available of a particular narration. This requires referring to the source books of Hadith and History, which are more than 100. And some turks in some instances could be more than 100 at times. Secondly, the narration then needs to be understood in the light of Quran and established Sunnah as well. This is a scholarly work and requires a sacrifice of countless hours in order to study narrations in detail. You can start with the source books. There are some software that can also be used for help during your research like Maktaba Shamila and Gawami-al-Kalam etc.
