Meaning Of Words Zarar And Ziraar
Assalam u alaikum.
My question is that there is a Hadith that says لَا ضَرَرَ وَلَا ضِرَارَ. What exactly is the meaning of these 2 words?
Some people say zarar means causing harm to other, without realizing, such that if doer were to know, he would stop.
For ziraar, some people say it means harming someone with intention to harm, some say reciprocating harm.
What does these 2 words mean?

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said:`“There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.” (Ibn Maja 2341)
