Number Of Ayah After Fatiha In Namaz
Assalam u alaikum,
My question is that is there any minimum number of ayah that is to be recited in namaz after fatiha? Can only 1 short ayah like first ayah of surah kausar, be enough?

There is no instruction on this. However, prayer is a serious matter. When one comes in the presence of God, one should recite properly and should not give the gesture that one has come to get rid of an obligation.

@Irfan76 yes sir I understand. Actually sometimes hanafi imam go to ruku quickly after fatiha and I am not yet completed with fatiha so then I quickly complete the remaining fatiha, add one ayah of surah kausar and quickly go to ruku before he rises from ruku
