    Salam

I am muslim and I am married to a Christian woman, and we have been together for six years. We never discussed the religion of our future children until recently, when the time came to seriously think about it. My wife insisted that our child should be exposed to both religions and, when old enough, be allowed to choose whichever religion he or she prefers. However, I feel that a child should follow only one religion while growing up, because being raised with two religions would create confusion for him/her as on Friday prayers he or she would be in Mosque and on Sunday in the church doing totally different.

As a Muslim father, it would be difficult for me to witness my son or daughter being baptized while being exposed to both religions. Naturally, I would want my children to be Muslim. But if we reach a point where Christianity is chosen, I wonder how that would work for me. From an Islamic perspective, how it would be if my child to be raised as a Christian?

So far, my wife is firm on either choosing both religions or choosing not to have kids and later is not an option for me.
What options do I have in this scenario?
