Assalamu Alaikum,I am not asking this out of objection, rather I am asking because in Islam there is deep wisdom behind every ruling. Earlier, I understood the reason behind covering the face during Tawaf, but now we see that the structure of every act of worship remains while its spirit is often lost. For example, during Hajj, we notice that almost everyone carries a camera, and some even check Snapchat filters on the Kaaba’s cloth. Does the ruling still remain the same today? What is your opinion?

Women are asked not to cover their faces during tawwaff.

Only objectionable pictures are not allowed. If it is not objectionable, you can take a picture.

One should keep one’s worship only for Allah. If you think displaying your worship against the spirit of worship, you should avoid taking pictures.

Yes, I know, but my question is: when it comes to cameras and such, a person doesn’t feel comfortable, and it even feels like a distraction in worship. Is it still a final ruling that a woman must keep her face uncovered during tawaf? I mean, during the tawaf itself.

Even if she feels comfortable covering her face.

Yes, it is forbidden because covering the face was considered a custom of the elite class and a symbol of high status. In the Kaaba, however, one must abandon all signs of pride or superiority.
