I have heard Ghamidi sahab’s saying in one of his video’s that “Quran ka parhna, sun’na yaksaan hai” as he was replying to question that “kya hum qayaam mein kisi surah ki recording sun sakte hain / mushaf hath mein pakr k namaz parh skte hain?”

Now, I want clarification on the principle “Quran ka parhna, sun’na yaksaan hai” in namaz. How is it deduced because should it be ‘me’ who is reciting the Azkaar of Namaz?

Ghamidi Sahab also said that “jab hum imam ke peeche hotay hain tou yehi kar rahe hote hain”

But, that is bajamaat namaz and we appoint an Imam to ‘lead us’. While, praying alone, how come a voice recording replaces our recitation.

I believe this is a great thing and really want to hear my favourite Qari’s in alone prayers too but I can’t understand the principle here.

Kindly help as soon as possible with how it works @Umer25 @Irfan76

Listening to Quran is the same as reciting in accordance with established Sunnah where Imam recites and the followers listen. Quran also hints to this fact (See Quran 7:204). Even in individual Salah, whether you’re reciting yourself or listening to Quran instead, it is effectively the same act. If a principle has been established in congregational Salah that one should listen to Qirat of Imam, which implies that listening is equivalent to reciting, then why can’t the same principle be applied to individual Salah? it is an ijtihadi application, but has a sound reasoning underneath. It is an application of a principle and not an addition.
