Zakaat On Bonus Which Was Received Just Days Before Annual Zakaat Due Date
Example Case:
Start of the year (in other words, after last zakaat due date) savings: 300k
End of the year savings: 900k (savings from salary + bonus at zakaat due date for this year. So net gain of 600k in this islamic calendar year)
The above total of 900k savings includes a bonus received, say at month 11, of value 400k
Would zakaat for this year be calculated based on 2.5% x 900k?
And in general, how should this non linear savings from be approached for annual zakaat calculation?Thanks
