Qibla And Verses' Relativity
In the Qur’an, Allah mentions the change of Qibla from Jerusalem to Mecca as a test to distinguish those who follow the Messenger from those who turn away. If this test was specific to that time and those people, why do Muslims today still face Mecca in prayer?
Also, I’m curious to know how we can tell if a Qur’anic verse applied only to people of that era or if it is meant as guidance for all Muslims for all time. Is there an easy way to figure this out?
