If a person claims to be the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) in front of an ordinary Muslim, does not consider the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to be the last prophet, and repeatedly expresses this view, insists on provoking the feelings of other Muslims. What should be the attitude of a Muslim?

In principle, we have to understand that our responsibility is only to empathetically deliver the message of truth with sound evidence to anyone. If he raises questions, then we should try to carefully listen to him, understand those questions, and respond positively. If at some point we figure that his viewpoint is much stronger than ours – again on the basis of evidence – then we have to reconsider our own understanding. Islam is not about protecting the feelings of any individual or a group – it is in fact about raising above our own ego, biases, and prejudices in order to submit to truth.

      Faisal bhai,

“If at some point we figure that his viewpoint is much stronger than ours – again on the basis of evidence – then we have to reconsider our own understanding.”

Will you apply it for the atheistic arguments too, or will you limit it to Islamic viewpoint ? In other words, if you find atheistic viewpoint stronger, will you reconsider your faith in Islam ?
