Cannabis Etc Intoxicant?
Can cannabis cocaine etc be classed as khamr? My knowledge in the effect of these drugs is limited but from popular culture I think they affect reasoning by making you overly happy- or by making you hallucinate. Does this come under the same ruling as alcohol which makes you (I think) basically dumb and discoordinated

Does cannabis according to you affect your purity or not? (not discussing quantity, I mean as a general principle)

I think it does affect purity in the sense a good moral person would stay away. But what about is it haraam?

In my understanding, anything which renders your mind ineffective and makes you lose sense of your reality (thus affecting your spiritual purity) is Haram in absolute sense on the same principle as Alcohol is Haram.
I am not acquaint with cannabis in much detail myself so I can only mention the principle.

Cannabis is now being used as a very good pain killer for terminally ill cancer patients. It does have good medicinal benefits
