Moderator August 30, 2020 at 7:18 amI don’t think there is any requirement to cover feet but head should be covered for women during Salah.

Moderator August 30, 2020 at 8:43 amOne should wear a decent attire before prostrating to their Lord. Every rational and conscious Muslim (man or woman) will always observe all the decency measures, but when someone says, “your prayers wouldn’t be accepted without…”, just know that they have transgressed their bounds.

Member September 1, 2020 at 9:45 pmIs there any reason behind offering only Surah Fatiha in 3 and 4th rakah during Farad prayers?
Also is there any reason of offering 3 and 4th rakah quietly ?

Moderator September 3, 2020 at 12:40 pmReciting any portion of Quran after Fatiha is a compulsory part of a prayer irrespective of the number of rakahs. The reason some people do it is based on some narrations but nothing of such sort has been explicitly directed by the Prophet (sws) Himself.. However, it has been transmitted through ijma and tawatur that reciting quran after Fatiha is a compulsory zikr of Salah.
The reason why we offer 3rd and 4th rakah quietly is based on the same reason that we offer 2 rakahs for fajar, 3 for maghrib and 4 rakahs for the rest. This is how salah has been transmitted to us as a Sunnah as fixed by God Himself. There can be many reasons that can be said for why only this specific number of rakahs, why only 2 Sajdas in one rakah, similarly why reciting 3rd and 4th rakahs quietly; but this is not the right way to approach this whole prayer scenario.
We intuitively have this sense of a creator within us in our nature/fitrat and want to pray to Him as its necessary corollary, but the right way to do this is something we cannot reach conclusively on our own, therefore, the same has been prescribed by the creator Himself and we follow whatever way has been prescribed.

Fajr : It was offered by Adam after he was forgiven by Allah
Zuhr : Offered By Noah A.S after his tribe was saved from Storm
Asr : Offered by Ibrahim A.S when saved from fire
Maghrib : Offered by Ayub A.S when he was recovered from illness and he was not able to stand for the 4th prayer so completed his prayer in 3 rakats

Moderator September 3, 2020 at 12:41 pmKindly provide the reference of this narration or ask the scholar who mentioned this narration for reference. Most of the times (almost 99% times, such narrations are a mere fabrication and have nothing to do with Allah’s deen Islam.
If you get the reference then kindly post it in a separate question so that we can discuss it further.
