Why Do So Many People Practice Shirk If It In The Fitrah
Posted by A Hasan on September 2, 2020 at 5:20 amIn one of Ghamidi sahabs videos he says why do people ask that people eat haraam food and it’s against fitrah but not shirk that people practise in the billions? He also says that people don’t eat dogs and cats normally it’s in the grey areas that the fumble. He explains that the eating of cats and dogs is a minority from cultural traditions maybe.
But shirk is clear and no grey area like these animals? It is also in very large numbers.
Can someone please then explain why then if tawheed is the true thing in the fitrah- why do people still adopt shirk in the billions?

Why Do So Many People Practice Shirk If It In The Fitrah

Moderator September 2, 2020 at 10:06 amA huge majority of humankind today does not take shirk as their religion – this includes most Christians and Hindus. They all believe in monotheism. But just like some Muslims err and involve in practices of shirk despite monotheism being at the core of their belief system, people from some other religions do the same due to some misunderstandings.

Contributor September 2, 2020 at 10:40 amBut bhai the billions of Christians and Hindus are still practising polytheism. What’s the difference of saying they are doing tawheed but doing polytheism?
What are the misunderstandings that aren’t being tackled by the fitrah?

Moderator September 2, 2020 at 12:03 pmIt’s not uncommon for people to live in contradictions and not think things through. As humans we generally just practice what everyone else around us is practicing. It doesn’t mean that we have consciously accepted what we practice as our beliefs.
If you have been following the recent tassawuf debate. it’s so evident that such contradictions exist even amongst Muslims. This particular sect, which is by far the biggest majority of Muslims around the globe, believe in the finality of prophethood for prophet Muhammad SAW, however, what practice is completely opposite of that.

Contributor September 2, 2020 at 12:04 pmSo does the fitrah require reawakening or is it an itch of discomfort that should make someone realise something is wrong?

Moderator September 2, 2020 at 12:11 pmIt is indeed that itch of discomfort, but when we consciously act upon it and make a sincere effort, we discover things that bring us closer to the truth. Every time we discover a truth that’s against our beliefs, it takes an enormous amount of courage to accept that truth. You may call it reawakening, but it’s a lifelong journey, not an event.

Moderator September 2, 2020 at 1:14 pmHow is it possible that Sheikh-e-Akbar janab ibn Arabi and the giants like Imam Ghazali be wrong about Tauheed and Nabuwat?
Sawad-e-Azam cannot be wrong!

Contributor September 2, 2020 at 1:13 pmBecause @faisalharoon when the Christians don’t eat dogs or cats it because they have a repulsion in their fitrah. So why do these people accept polytheism on this massive scale with seemingly no problem?
-
A Hasan
Contributor September 2, 2020 at 1:15 pmUnless the fitrah in repulsion for eating animals is stronger than the one for shirk.

Moderator September 2, 2020 at 1:43 pmThat is the point, my friend, that they have NOT accepted polytheism. You can go ask any Christian, and they will insist that they’re monotheist. I know it’s hard to understand for us that how can someone believe in the concept of trinity but at the same time claim to be monotheistic, but that’s how some of their elders understood it and most of them don’t question it. But according to their fitra, they still believe in tawheed.
