    Is kalaam needed to prove the existence of God? When we read the Quran we don’t understand the pure Arabic and are not struck by the majesty of the words like the Quraysh were. So how then, do we know for sure this is the word of God?

    For understanding the basic premise/argument of religion, all the arguments are presented by Quran itself (there is no need to create any ilm-e-kalaam of our own). One can present these arguments to others for them to judge those arguments. Please see this:

    When someone understands the premise of religion then one has to refer to religious scriptures to understand the religion further, then one cannot ignore Quran as it is the only source book of religion that has the most authentic association with its presenter.

    How Quran proves its divine value logically is also something addressed by Quran itself. Please see this specific thread-link for that:

    Meezan = Religious thought – (ilm-e-kalaam + falsafa/philosophy + fiqh/jurisprudence + tasawuf/Sufism) = Islam
