Can inheritance be distributed during lifetime to avoid possible conflict between siblings? (Assuming father is old and has no intention of another marriage/ offspring)

During a person’s lifetime, a person is free to do whatever he wants with his property as a principle. However, every Muslim should be mindful of the principle of Justice (adal) while distributing anything during his lifetime.
