If God has given us freewill and this means we do things and God is not controlling us- then how can God be termed the All knowing and the one who’s fist the universe is in? How is Allah then upon all things al-Qadeer?

Free will does not guarantee full control. God’s permission or Izn is what controlling the outcome. When we act with our free will and God in His infinite knowledge and wisdom permits it only then the outcome matches with our action. If not, then outcome is different from our action. That’s why we are held accountable for our intention and action regardless of the outcome. God’s Izn is essential for the entire scheme of trial to work.

Can we then conclude that during one’s lifetime, all the events that are meant to happen, will happen regardless, by the Izn of Allah. What will matter in the end is how you “used” those events/your life.

Having formed a relationship with God through His book a person will be able to see the hidden behind the manifest and extract the wisdom behind each and every event, coming out of it with a learning or an unlearning. Therefore, his intentions will always be pure regardless of the apparent outcomes. His intention of living would only and only be God. In this way we can affirm our free-will (which would be accepting or rejecting God’s scheme for us) and also God’s knowledge and power.
