In the name of Allah, the One.

    Dear Diary.

In a comparative study, one has to have a vantage point. There can be only one.

Either one stands away from everything or one stands in their element and sees everything else. One can’t be in their element and still be away from everything.

Eg: in comparative religion studies, either one has to stand away as a nonbeliever and study every religion separately and their comparison with each other.

Or one can be a believer in one religion and study other religions as compared to one’s own.

In either case, the only way to study is to study without judging. If you judge then you are not studying.

That being said, the statement that Hindus and Muslims both prostate to structure/statue is flawed. And that is because of a huge difference between the two. Hindus pray “to” the statue and Muslims pray “towards” the structure. The word “to” and “towards” is the difference and the difference between North and South. This is the philosophical, theological, ideological difference between night and day.

Moving on, every system must be uniform and organized, otherwise, unconformity will lead to chaos and destruction of the system. It is most evident in prayer. Look at the movements, steps, timing. The pinnacle of organization, like a military routine. To get that level of organization, one requires a focus, a focal point, a common ideology. This is the direction of the Kaaba.

Standing in Alaska or Australia, a person faces a common direction. He doesn’t have a miniature Kaaba in his house one placed east and the other west. Imagine a million Muslims praying in a million directions. If prostration is the best form of worship then it has to be to a God. Where would I prostrate, when, how? God made it easy for me. HE told me how and when. Uniformity indeed.

Moving on, ever wonder, one God, one message, one direction to pray. Ever see the synchronization of millions in one direction! Ever feel the awe of a system! Ever watch a military parade! Ever see synchronized dancing. The Awe of aesthetics is immense.
