  • Nikah For A Barren Woman Or Man With Vasectomy

Ghamidi sahab says nikah is the institution to raise the next generation. Why then, is mutah not allowed but a barren woman is allowed to get married?

I don’t follow. What is the connection between the two?

If a person is impotent then it should not be kept as secret instead must be conveyed to future spouse before Nikah.

Mutah is a legalized fornication. The practice is against the spirit of Nikah.

    Allah knows best.

The spirit of nikah is to make an institution for the next generation.

If no child can be born then how is the spirit maintained?

Good point, however spirit of Nikah also implies husband-wife are entering in a life long relationship. You cannot set a time limit for it.

Yes, the real spirit of nikah is to partake in God’s scheme to allow and help new humans enter this world and become part of His test. However, there are many other aspects to nikah, for example, socio-economic benefits, fulfillment of human emotional and physical needs, etc. There’s nothing wrong with barren women to enter nikah, and the same goes for men.

So what’s the difference between these barren people entering into this contract and someone entering this contract for the exact same reason (fulfilment of human desire) but for just for a certain length? (Mutah)

The same as one person eating the meat of swine to save his life, while the other to fulfill his desire.
