    Az-Zalzalah – 99:8

    Arabic

    وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُۥ

Almost every translation translated ذرة as atom. In Urdu this word is used to mean a small thing or small parts if a thing. Does it mean atom in Arabic (or did it in the past)? Did the time and generation if the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم know about the atom?

If u read complete ayah, it has bothing to do with atom as we know of scientifically. Beside atom is not fundamental particle. Electrons and quarks are..

Atom concept was first devised in ancient greek philosophy. Even if u find an example where early muslims knew abt it dont take it as scientific miracle.

Not as a miracle . Just does the historical context allow for that translation?
