    Salaam,

Ghamidi sb mentioned once, that the subject matter of Quran is afterlife and its success.

The desire & intellect required for problem solution of this world, is already built in the fitrat (nature) of insaan.

In present time we see that when there is a crisis in the Muslim world, main focus is to make dua to solve those crisis rather than root cause analysis and practical approach.

Please tell us at what point in time in Muslim history, our approach for worldly affairs balanced out to have more prayers and less of a critical analysis and practical solution.

Also even though there are daily prayers, 17 times (farz prayer with Ihadinassaratil…) for hidayat, still this basic need of hidayat for this world is not fulfilled, for almost all of the Muslim societies especially since past 500 yrs.

We cannot pinpoint a single point in time when the Muslim’s approach to problem solving might have flipped, however, Ghamidi sahab has given a very detailed lecture on the 1400 years of evolution in the Muslim thought. I hope that it will help.
