67:4 Stoning Or Guesswork?
Al-Mulk – 67:5
Arabic
وَلَقَدۡ زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا رُجُومًا لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لَهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
Could Abu layth’s interpretation hold up according to the stylistics of Arabic?
The flow of the verses should allow for both- being either:
‘Look at the power of the Almighty- he not only created the stars but uses them to destroy the shayateen(jinn)’
Or
‘Look at the power of the Almighty – he created the stars as a decoration snd these foolish shayateen (humans) use it for mere guesswork’.
Also- could someone explain why this arrangement (from what I’ve researched) of fighting away the jinn from spying on the heavens only takes place during revelation? Why not other times?

I am guessing that مرجَّم is different to رجوم are different because of their sarf?
