السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركا تهُ

My question is about Salat. I’ve seen people starting it with ‘Auzubillah’ and heard that one can say salam after reading Attahiyat! Which one is the correct way and where does it end?

      As Salam Aleikum

My question was that when we start the prayer some of us read subhanakal-lahumma wabihamdika

      watabarakas-muka

      wataa ‘ala jadduka

      wala ilaha ghayruka

While some don’t and they just Auzubillah-e-mineshatan nirajim…

And when we complete the prayer some would just read until Attahiyat and say Salam while others would add Durood as well as some Du’as and then say Salam!

Which one is the correct one? Please guide.

Neither reciting subhanakal-lahumma wabihamdika at the beginning of salat, nor reciting durood before salam are required parts of the salat. Other than certain mandatory practices, the rest of the salat can be personalized by making duas or tasbeehat at different times during the salat. Please watch the following video for details:
