Person A worked with Person B in an institution where person A was peon and Person B was an officer.

Person B resigned and started life in a foreign country. Person A on special occasions like EID etc. Started sending messages to person B for help to buy clothes for his family and on his wedding he asked for some help too.

During covid he asked again for help as he said he was on adhoc and he didn’t receive salary for 6 months. Now, again within couple of months person A texted for RS 30000 so he could pay loans that he took on death of hIS father for all of the traditions like KUL etc. Person B doesnt know about any of events whether person A is married or his father died or there was any loan etc.?

In this situation how Person B should act? Should he block person A to end this all requests or he should keep helping without questioning because i heard some ulema that when a person asks for help don’t turn him down its a blessings from God on you that he has linked someone needs with you. Person B is totally confused and wantS to know guidance on the basis of Islamic principles. Please Guide …

Helping must not be done in blind faith, if it goes to a wrong person, the deserving ones are deprived. There is no compulsion to give every man asking for help. indiscriminate charity may benefit the professional beggars who better know the craft of making money through begging.

It depends on your discretion who deserves your charity.

      I have follow up question,
During Corona crisis, various institutions were distributing rations to people. there were some people who sold those items back to shop and also people sale meat of sacrifice to others. Also, there are some people who dont ask or go to those distribution center because of self esteem despite too much hunger. In explanation of Quran 2:273, Ghamidi Sb said this ayah was revealed at time of immigrants coming from Makkah. Is it applicable today?
If yes, its diffcult to differentiate between professional and real needy. So how can we reconcile this ayah and our incapability.

It depends on your discretion who really deserve your charity. Need is always there .
