Gyarveen shareef is a sufi festival celebrating the anniversary of the union of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani with God. It is also called Fatiha Yazdaham or Fatiha Do Azdaham.

This celebration has nothing to do with Islam, and depending on the intention and activities undertaken, it could be termed as shirk and/or bida.

If the niyaz (food) distributed during this event is dedicated to Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani or anyone else, then it is categorically haram (see Quran 2:173). Some people do not dedicate the food to anyone, and if such can be confirmed then the food can be consumed.
