Hudood Punishments
Can we do ijtehad and change some very severe punishments of hudood ? Like cutting off hands of a thief and 100 lashes for committing adultery ? Because these punishments seem very harsh for these crimes not to mention the highly controversial stoning of adulterers which isn’t found in Quran.
