Sahih Hadith Terminology
Should a hadith be termed sahih even if it meets all the criteria of asool e Hadith ? Because the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) never authorized a hadith book. I know that a hadith is considered sahih or zaeef from the pov of a muhadith but the Islamic scholars always portray as if these hadith books have been given some kind of an authorization form the Prophet ( pbuh ) himself. An average person also thinks that if a book is called sahih Bukhari everything in it must be 100% sahih because it’s from Prophet (pbuh).

As you stated, sahih is just a term which means that a narration meets a certain criteria to the best of the knowledge of a muhaddith. There’s nothing wrong with the terminology, except that it causes some confusion for those who are not aware of hadith terminology. Since this term is so widely used, the best that can be done is to make people aware of it’s meaning.
