  • How Should Sacred Literature Be Disposed Off?

What is the respectful and perhaps religious way of disposing-off sacred literature (such as Quran). I found few opinions online regarding this, such as burning or burying -I would appreciate if I can get clarity on this.

On a similar topic, what are the guidelines for (non-religious) documents/paper with the word Allah or Muhammad on it? Can they just be shredded?

Burning is one of them, Hazrat usman burnt unstandardized copies of Quran. You can bury them too. In my opinion, Its better to recycle it.
For other non religious document, you can shred them.
