Why There's No Pope In Islam ?
Why is there not an authority in Islam who speaks on behalf of all Muslims like Pope in Christianity ? It’s not like the clergy doesn’t have any power in the Muslim world. They’re as powerful as Christian clergy was during the middle ages.

Because muslims are not united they are divided into sects.

Christians are also divided in many sects. Protestants don’t really recognize the institution of papacy.

In theology of christian, clergy act as intermediate between Allah and humans. So theologically there is no basis.
Traditionally Caliphate was face of Muslim community. In current times, OIC could have played that role but unfortunately, the leadership are pawns in my opinion so it can never function fully in this regard.-
OIC is a political organization. But many times when some terrorist incident happens by some muslim group, the entire world blames Islam for it. Every individual muslim scholar or religious forums then issues separate statement of condemnation or some even approve of terrorism. That sends a very negative signal to the world.
