Why Do We Do Good?
Is it for jannah, salvation from hell, or satisfaction of God?
What if we give preference to points 1 and 2 over 3 because we are humans and will obviously want pleasure and no pain. So we will sometimes maybe do it just for 1 and 2 and not so much for 3

Should our purpose be going to jannah or to please God? Isn’t pleasing God enough then jannah should be an afterthought?

Al-Mutaffifin 83:26
خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسۡكٌۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ
Al-Insan – 76:9
Arabic
إِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمۡ جَزَآءً وَلَا شُكُورًا
Al-Insan – 76:10
Arabic
إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوۡمًا عَبُوسًا قَمۡطَرِيرًا
These ayahs make it seem as though one should do good deeds for attaining heaven and because they fear hell. But ayah 9 of 76 makes it seem that they are doing it only for the sake of God. Then 10 says that they fear he’ll. but the surah 83 ayah says to compete for heaven itself

Could we perhaps say that these are all a means to the end of tazkiyya and becoming a person of God?

In my opinion, doing good is built into our nature until someone forces himself in pride and starts doing evil.
People who are atheist still do good things without expectation of heaven.
