Is Deliberately Killing Insects Or Rodents Sinful?
We normally kill mice using traps, poison and several other methods. Although these days there are humane live traps that allow capture and release, but this option was not available in the past and still not affordable in poor countries.
Once I found a mouse and babies under a pile of wood that I was clearing. The mother mouse ran away, but without much thinking, I killed all babies inhumanely. I still feel extremely guilty after decades have past.
Did I commit a big sin. If it is a sin, how is it different from killing rodents or even insects with poison or traps?
