Can Good Deeds Erased?
It was narrated from Thawban that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“I certainly know people of my nation who will come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds like the mountains of Tihamah, but Allah will make them like scattered dust.” Thawban said: “O Messenger of Allah, describe them to us and tell us more so that we will not become of them unknowingly.” He said: “They are your brothers and from your race, worshipping at night as you do, but they will be people who, when they are alone, transgress the sacred limits of Allah.”
(Sunan Ibne Majah, Hadith 4386)
I didn’t understand wouldn’t it mean that these people are just doomed?
Where is the concept of weighing of good v evil deeds in this?
Allah forgives all sins except Shirk,wont such people having been erased everything good just go in hell and stay forever then?
What sort of transgressions are in discussion in this Hadith
Does porn come in this?since it is the most common sin being practiced by youth behind closed doors and in islotaion

Similarly telling your sins to everyone also erases good deeds

First of all this is a hassan riwayah and some scholar also consider zayif. For argument sake, we will assume it is authentic.
Secondly we have to refer to Quran for guidance to interpret hadith literature. Kindly refer to following thread

Also Quran tells us that only kufr can erase good deeds.If you put it in proper context, it seems to me this hadith is talking about hypocrites.
About your porn question, I consider it as devil work and sinful. But saying it will erase good deed is far stretch. But we should avoid such kind of actions as it may lead to real sins

Telling your sin in public may encourage other do sin so we should avoid doing so. It also shows that you have no fear of Allah which may considered arrogance.
