When we decide to get married, we actually become a part of God’s scheme to send humans to this world and select them for his paradise on the basis of their tests. It is indeed a great blessing from our Creator who uses us as a means to carry out his scheme. Therefore, while getting married is not obligatory, it is very strongly advised.
That said, the decision of whether or not to get married, or whom to get married to rests with each individual. Of course, parents and the society should be involved as best as possible, however, the final decision lies with the individual.
