Fixing A Gregorian Calendar Day For Zakah
I understand that Zakah is a religious AND state related affair. So, instead of fixing a Hijri Calendar day of a year, could it be okay to change it to Gregorian calendar day as it is, usually, a difference of only 10 days or so? As it smooths out so many things when calculating and taking into account the tax that you have been paying.

It can be done so, as there is no such explicit restriction imposed by Sunnah. A state can choose the calendar which fulfils their requirements in a better and more systematic way.
