Zakat On Savings For A House And On Gold Ornaments
I’m saving money to build a house,as I have no house to live in.Do I need to pay zakah for that?
My wife have some gold ornaments which she received as gifts at her wedding,but she rarely wears them.Do she needs to pay zakah for that?

All items of personal use are exempt from Zakat and this extends to genuine savings made for personal needs i.e. Gold saved for daughter’s wedding, plot bought or savings made to construct a house for personal use only etc.
