  Zakat On Salary

  While living in US the salaries are paid after deducting state/federal taxes. Additionally you pay sales taxes on all of your purchases. According to the zakat calculator we need to pay 10% zakat on our gross salaries. Do we need to subtract the state/fed/sales and taxes from the gross pay?
