Graveyards in larger cities cover land worth billions. Once a grave is made, we’re not allowed to even walk, sit or build over that piece of land. Say 12 to 18 square feet of land is wasted per death, for ever. That should change, let’s not waste land anymore and choose some better way of getting rid of our dead bodies.

Burial is a decent way to dispose off a dead body. To preserve the grave has nothing to do with Islam. A better solution could be to specify a piece of land for graveyard and after a while, the graves should be leveled off to make grounds for new burials.
