Social Gatherings Involving Quran Recitation For Esal-e-Sawab
AsalamoAlaikum! Last year my senior at university passed away. One of our teachers requested us to recite Holy Quran for her maghfirah. We were asked through class whatsapp group to recite the parah which matches our roll number (e.g. I was asked to recite parah 5 because my roll number in class was 5). Everyone agreed to comply so, I had to as well. I personally felt that it wasn’t appropriate to sugget the whole class including my teacher that Quran is a book for hidayah rather than sawab. Some could’ve interpreted my statement as a blasphemy (considering my class-fellows). So, I recited the Quran with the intention of aisal-e-sawab considering no other option viable except complying. What would’ve been an ideal approach towards this kind of dilemma?
