Zakat On Plot
Assalam o Alaikum,
I purchased one plot in Pakistan on installment for investment point of view. Please clarify if the zakat is applicable or not on this plot in view of following conditions:
1. I have purchased this plot on installment plan in Aug 2018.
2. I have completed all the installments 4 months before (Dec 2020).
3. I have not paid yet the possession charges for possession of this plot.

If it’s considered “your asset” then you have to pay zakat on it. Your assets include cash, jewelry, or anything else of value excluding things of personal use.
